This task is designed to get students converting into base 10. It has A LOT of practice, some may so too much, but this is new for pupils and sometimes it is needed.
Initially, pupils are supported with Diences blocks, then as the task progresses the difficulty increases with opportunity for generalising and quite a lot of problem-solving towards the end.
